School Finance Officer – Finance 6 Experience Essential

Vida Education are currently recruiting for an experienced School Finance Officer to work within a school in Lancashire.

This position offers flexible working hours and the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

We are looking for someone with previous school finance experience who is confident using Finance 6 and has practical experience making payments and completing bank reconciliations directly from a school’s own bank accounts.

Previous experience using Finance 6 is essential for this position.

THE ROLE

• Process and manage payments directly from the school’s own bank accounts.

• Complete regular bank reconciliations, ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date.

• Use Finance 6 to maintain and manage financial transactions.

• Process supplier invoices, purchase orders and payments.

• Monitor income and expenditure and maintain accurate financial records.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions.

• Support the school’s day-to-day financial administration.

• Ensure financial procedures are followed in accordance with school policies.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Must have previous experience using Finance 6 within a school setting.

• Must have experience making payments and completing bank reconciliations using a school’s own bank accounts.

• Have a strong understanding of school financial procedures.

• Be confident managing financial transactions accurately and independently.

• Have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

• Be able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

• Have previous experience working in a school finance or similar education finance role.
